I am a passionate and experienced educator and trainer with over 20 years experience of managing in both the private sector and in Higher Education. I bring entrepreneurial and energetic leadership to everything that I do.

In my late 20s, I established, developed and managed a commercial language centre. Our corporate clients included BP, Smithkline Beechams, Motorola, IBM, Chivas, United Distillers, Whyte&MacKay, Sun Microsystems, Total, SCI, Honeywell, OKI, JVC, the Law Society of Scotland, and Scottish Enterprise. I generated and managed all client relationships and was responsible for the design and the delivery of corporate training whilst also managing and developing a diverse and multicultural staff.

For over 10 years, I was a senior manager in Higher Education. Originally, I was the project manager of a partnership between education, industry and government in Scotland. Subsequently, I was appointed as Director of a Languages Teaching Centre in a prestigious Russell Group University, during which time I successfully and significantly developed and innovated its service provision. I was responsible for the strategic direction, financial, estate and human resource management of the busy centre. Under my leadership, the centre established a reputation for expertise and witnessed a significant growth in student numbers.

Having developed people in a variety of roles, it was a natural progression for me to retrain as a coach, with a particular interest in professional and personal development. I passionately believe that change, if properly managed, can lead to exploration and transformation, thus turning what appears to be a crisis at first into a positive and life enhancing experience. This forms the basis of the pre-retirement and the redundancy courses I offer.

To life coaching I bring commitment, maturity (all right, age!), passion, enthusiasm and experience. This makes me completely non judgemental and very positive. Moreover, I have plenty of energy, and I am a warm person who truly listens.

I am so excited about Solace Space, my new venture. The uniqueness of Solace Space undoubtedly lies in the professionalism and the high quality of the provision and that of the associates involved. These include a psychotherapist, a GP, NLP practioners, alternative therapists, a life coach, a career guidance counsellor and even a relationship specialist! All are experienced professional people whom I personally like and with whom I am proud to be working.
